The "Berried Alive in Galt" 13th Annual Strawberry Festival will be held Friday, May 16th - Sunday, May 18th in Galt. The event will kick-off with the Running of the Berries at 7am on Friday with the festival gates opening at 1pm. Wine, Berries & Jazz will be held on Friday from 6pm-9pm, Strawberry Jam 5K Run will be held on Saturday at 8am, the Cruise 'n' Ride Classic Car & Motorcylce Show will take place Saturday from 11am-4pm and music each day. The Solider Down Poker Run will be held on Saturday, May 17th by the United Bikers of Northern California / Yuba-Sutter Chapter. Sign-in will be at the Waffle Barn, located at 590 Colusa Highway from 9am-11am and the run will end at the American Legion Hall, located at 5477 Feather River Boulevard. Donation, includes lunch is $20 per person or $30 per couple. All proceeds will go to Wounded Warrior Project, music by Square 1 and there will be prizes, trophies and beverages.
The Auburn Home Show will take place Friday, May 16th - Sunday, May 17th at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. The show will feature over 1,200 outstanding exhibits with spectacular landscaping in natural settings and top notch exhibits for your home, garden and gracious living. The Sacramento Child Advocates, Inc. (SCA) will hold a Wine & Dine event on Saturday, May 17th in the ballroom at Sac State. There will be 11 Restaurants that will offer tastings and many prestigious Napa and Amador wineries will be pouring tastings as well. An all-star cast of jazz musicians are slated to perform during the Crocker Art Museum's popular Third Thursday Jazz Summer Concert Series. The concerts will take place in Crocker Park due to construction, they will be held on the third Thursday of the month through September from 5:30pm-8pm.
