I grew up in Walnut Creek when nobody had heard of the town. It was a great place to grow up. I had the All-American childhood with piano lessons (& like every adult, regret quitting), swim team, Little League baseball, Cub Scouts, neighborhood friends and a paper route. But I always surrounded myself with music. At the ripe age of 15 I visited my first radio station in San Francisco and while there said these exact words to myself: "This is what I want to do." I was lucky enough to do it. I've mostly done it in Fresno, Marysville, Chico and San Francisco. I worked in the last days of Sacramento's K108 before moving on to San Francisco and heading back to live again in Walnut Creek. I lived 500' from where I went to school from kindergarten through 8th grade on a street that I used to ride my bike to school on. I felt like I was 10 all over again. It's been mostly rock radio over the years, but one good thing about aging is that it opens your mind to different forms of entertainment, among other things. I worked at KKSF in San Francisco before returning to Sacramento and 94.7 KSSJ.

Right after high school, I taught scuba diving in the Caribbean. I took a boat full of radio people who were from a popular free-form jazz-rock radio station located in San Juan, Puerto Rico that reached the entire Caribbean and Virgin Islands. We had so much fun that they invited me to be a part of their station. They put me on the air and I worked at WIAC-FM for two years while teaching scuba diving. Returning to the states, I was hired at Arizona's premier rock station KDKB in Phoenix and after seven years, Los Angeles called and I worked for KMET and KLOS for six years. I married in 1990 and rocked San Diego at KGB-FM until my husband's career moved me to Sacramento in 1991. I was the mid-day host at Y92 for six years until falling in love with 94.7 KSSJ and moving up the dial in 1998. I have been very lucky to have long tenures at radio stations and I plan to make 94.7 KSSJ my home for a long time.

The radio bug started in Junior High when my friend Steve and I combined our stereo equipment in his living room and created our very own radio station. Born in Sacramento, I've always had a passion for music. As a former drummer, I couldn’t be happier with my chosen profession. After starting my career in San Diego, I spent a few years in Reno before settling back into Sacramento in early 2004. The family includes my beautiful wife Crystal and handsome little pooch Woody. Crystal and I got engaged on-stage in front of 10,000 people at a Chris Botti concert in San Diego! I'm a total sports nut, following the Kings and the Rivercats as well as my Chargers and Padres. I love to play golf as much as possible. Let's tee it up right now!
